AniMemori For Real

AniMemori For Real is a student-led highlight concert under the first-ever Sunway Music Expo, proudly supported by JCPAC as part of the soft launch of the brand-new Experimental Theatre at the Jeffrey Cheah Performing Arts Centre.

More than just a concert, AniMemori is a celebration of the music, stories, and emotions that made us fall in love with anime. Whether you're a lifelong anime enthusiast or simply someone who appreciates great live music and performance, this concert invites you to relive the unforgettable moments, adventures, and memories that anime has brought into our lives.

At the heart of the concert is the AniMemori Hybrid Ensemble — a unique collaboration of contemporary band musicians, a string quintet, a woodwind ensemble, a 10-piece backing vocal team, and featured singers including Pudds, JYNN, Lyria, Masahiro, and many more. Audiences can expect beloved anime soundtracks and songs reimagined through rich orchestral arrangements, energetic band performances, and cinematic storytelling.

This event is also held in support of Child Aid Asia Malaysia, combining the power of music, community, and creativity for a meaningful cause. As part of this initiative, RM5 from every ticket sold will be donated directly to Child Aid Asia Malaysia to support its ongoing efforts in empowering and assisting underprivileged children and communities through education, welfare, and development programmes.

The AniMemori experience begins long before the concert starts. From 12:00 PM onwards, audiences can explore a vibrant anime-themed marketplace presented in collaboration with the Sunway University Anime Club, featuring merchandise vendors, artists, creators, fan booths, interactive activities, and exclusive anime collectibles. Whether you're looking for fan art, accessories, prints, keychains, unique handmade merchandise, or simply want to immerse yourself in anime culture, there's something for every anime lover to discover.

As a special pre-concert highlight, two special guest cosplayers will be taking over the Experimental Theatre Foyer from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM with exclusive live appearances, fan interactions, photo opportunities, and special performances. This FREE foyer showcase is open to all visitors and serves as the perfect warm-up before the evening concert begins, bringing beloved anime characters to life in an exciting and immersive atmosphere.

Adding even more magic to the evening, audiences will witness a special appearance by the Peekaboo Music Academy Children's Ensemble, showcasing the next generation of musical talent. The experience is further elevated by a captivating contemporary dance performance by SEREN, under the coaching and artistic direction of Elaine, blending movement, storytelling, and music into an unforgettable visual spectacle.
